Herrenberg Cave
This large cave system was recently opened near Jena during the construction of a tunnel by the Deutsche Bahn for their high speed Inter City Express (ICE) trains. After exploration the cave was scheduled to be sealed up for good and was opened for Dr. Küsel and some other scientists to take samples from this unique underground world.
