Hainich Groundwater Field Site
In order to determine the link between above-ground and below-ground biodiversity, you need to be able to sample at depths from the surface all the way down to the deep biosphere. This transect starts in the forest within the Hainich National Park and runs out through the surrounding agricultural areas.
